Ada Cuevas 

Dr. Ada Cuevas completed her medical degree at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and obtained a Master’s in Clinical Nutrition from University of Chile. She later pursued postgraduate studies in Nutrition and Metabolism at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, supported by the Friends of the Center for Human Nutrition Scholarship.

In 2003 she founded the Chilean Atherosclerosis Working Group (Ateros-Chile), member of the International Atherosclerosis Society (IAS).  She served as Director for the Americas of the IAS and currently she is Board Member of this Society. Dr Cuevas is Member of International Steering Committe of the Residual Risk Reduction Initiative (R3I). In 2022, she was honored as International Fellow of the National Lipid Association (NLA). She is also International Fellow of the World Obesity Federation (WOF) and she is member and past-Chair of Executive Committee of the SCOPE Certification Program of the WOF.

Dr. Cuevas has authored multiple scientific publications and book chapters and serves as Associate Editor for journals such as the Journal of Lipid Research and Clinical Obesity. Since 2020, she has been engaged in clinical and academic work at CAMMYN in Santiago and Cleversalud Clinic in Rancagua, Chile.
